About Us

At Shadwick Utility Consultants, we help businesses make sense of their utility connections. We work exclusively within the commercial and industrial development space, where the scale and complexity of utility requirements mean that the right decisions can have a significant impact on cost, programme and long-term operational efficiency.

Many projects follow the same path simply because no one has ever explained that there are other, often better, options. Navigating a single utility provider can be challenging without the right experience; coordinating several simultaneously can quickly become overwhelming. We believe in giving our clients real choices — helping them understand what’s possible, comparing viable alternatives, and guiding them towards the most efficient, cost-effective solution for their development.

Nationwide Reach, Personal Service

We work with clients across the UK and are able to handle most projects remotely, which means we can offer the same personal, attentive service wherever you’re based. Our experience covers electricity, gas, water, and telecoms, so whatever your project involves, we’ll help you find the simplest way to get connected.

Meet the Director

Andy Shadwick has worked in the utility connections sector for over five years, supporting clients in delivering successful commercial and industrial developments across the UK. During this time, he has been involved in projects spanning a range of sectors, including education, retail, industrial premises, and large-scale commercial sites.

Andy’s approach is built on strong customer service and clear, proactive communication. He is known for developing effective working relationships with clients, contractors and network operators, ensuring that projects progress smoothly and challenges are resolved quickly. His ability to navigate complex utility requirements and coordinate multiple stakeholders is central to the service we provide.

While Andy’s career began outside the utilities world, he discovered a genuine passion for helping organisations achieve the right outcomes when it comes to connections and infrastructure – something he admits surprised him more than anyone else.

Outside of the business, Andy is committed to community work. He volunteers with a Rotherham-based homeless charity and also serves as Commercial Director at a non-league football club, bringing the same relationship-driven and solutions-focused mindset to those roles as he does to his work at Shadwick Utility Consultants.
